Interlake Mecalux Teardrop Racking
Interlake Mecalux has two different teardrop styles of racking. The difference between the two styles lies in the upright frames. One of the uprights is a “welded” style meaning that all of the horizontal and diagonal bracing is welded to the column. The other style is the “bolted style” meaning the bracing and footplates are bolted in.
Both of these styles of pallet rack are teardrop racking and the beams are the same for both uprights. The two styles come from the fact that Interlake and Mecalux used to be two separate companies until they combined and are now one entity. Each style is a great product and each one has their specific strengths.

Interlake Mecalux pallet racking comes with either bolted or boltless (welded) frames. The company’s patented beam-to-frame connection creates the most rigid and reliable structure available.
In addition, it provides exceptional protection against damage, tampering, as well as accidental beam disengagement with their patented beam lock.
Interlake only uses high-strength steel, certified to meet the strictest specifications. All weld operations are controlled through advanced robotics or performed by welders certified to AWS Standards.
